The 2025 Ford Ranger is available in four trim levels: the XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor. Here's a closer look at each of the four trims.
The Ranger XL has a turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost engine that produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The engine pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission with either rear- or four-wheel drive. The XL features LED reflector headlamps, 17-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, durable cloth seats, and remote keyless entry. Its SYNC 4A infotainment system has a 10-inch touch screen, enhanced voice recognition, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Ranger XLT builds upon the XL with features such as LED fog lamps, power-folding mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, LED bed lighting, and wireless charging. Its SYNC 4A system adds Connected Navigation. A more powerful 2.7L EcoBoost engine with an output of 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque is also available. The XLT has a more robust Ford Co-Pilot360 technology suite, with features including a digital rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and a lane-keeping system added as standard.
The Ford Ranger Lariat adds luxurious upgrades to the XLT. These include leather-trimmed seats, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, heated front seats with lumbar support, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-speaker B&O sound system, and a 12-inch infotainment touch screen. Its exterior features an exclusive Lariat fender badge, power-sliding rear windows, 18-inch wheels, and Zone Lighting. Further additions include adaptive cruise control, speed sign recognition, and a 360-degree camera.
The Ford Ranger Raptor is built for the outdoors with its higher ground clearance, 33-inch tires, skid plates, four-wheel-drive configuration, and off-road suspension. It has a 3.0L EcoBoost V-6 engine that delivers 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The Raptor features the Trailer Tow and Advanced Towing packages for superior performance. Unique bumpers, front grille, and wheels give it an aggressive stance.
The XL trim is a capable workhorse with essential features, while the XLT offers more safety and convenience features. The Lariat is the most luxurious trim level, while the Raptor sets itself apart with its off-road prowess.
A rear-wheel-drive Ranger is the most fuel-efficient, with estimated ratings of 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Four-wheel-drive variants such as the Raptor have slightly lower fuel economy ratings.
