Drivers in and near Homewood Vestavia Hills Mountain Brook Hoover who are interested in a heavy-duty pickup truck can now test-drive, purchase and lease the 2024 Ford Super Duty at Stivers Ford of Birmingham. The Super Duty is the most popular HD pickup series in North America and has been for a very long time. It’s available in F-250, F-350 and F-450 configurations, and all three of those configurations can be had with the six core trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. There is also a Tremor trim aimed at off-road enthusiasts, but it’s exclusive to the Ford F-250.
Drivers in and near Homewood Vestavia Hills Mountain Brook Hoover can choose between either a standard bed that measures 6 feet ¾ inches or a long bed that measure 8 feet. The two-door regular cab is paired exclusively with the long bed, and the two-door extended cab and four-door crew cab give you the choice of either bed. Standard equipment includes 17-inch steel wheels and heated, power-adjustable towing mirrors. The XLT adds alloy wheels and fog lamps. The Lariat upgrades the exterior with all LED lighting and the mirrors with power telescoping. The King Ranch adds a power tailgate and power-deployable running boards. This trim has an exclusive appearance package as well, and both the Platinum and Limited are distinguished through additional chrome and unique badging.
You have the choice of either a regular, extended or crew cab for your 2024 Ford Super Duty. The regular cab seats up to three. The extended and crew cabs are available in five- and six-passenger configurations. The front row provides similar headroom and legroom in all three rows. If comparing the extended and crew cabs, then that choice will come down to rear legroom for most. The extended cab affords 33.5 inches of second-row legroom, which is certainly enough to accommodate adults comfortably, but the crew cab affords 43.6 inches and has the added advantage of independent ingress and egress.
The XL has remote engine start, trailer sway damping and an integrated trailer brake controller. The XLT adds dual 120-volt power outlets. The Lariat adds keyless entry and push-button ignition. The FX4 Off-Road package adds off-road shock absorbers, hill descent control and skid plates. The Tremor includes that equipment but a more robust suspension and a number of other mechanical enhancements.
The XL is available with either rear- or four-wheel drive. Beyond the base trim, four-wheel drive is standard. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard regardless. The XL has a 6.8-liter V8 engine. Beyond the base trim, the F series is upgraded to a 7.3-liter V8, and you also have the option a turbo-diesel engine in two configurations. Class V trailering equipment is standard, and gooseneck/fifth-wheel trailering is optional.
The base infotainment suite available through Stivers Ford of Birmingham features an 8-inch touch screen, connected services and wireless Android and Apple integration. The F Series is upgraded to a 12.3-inch screen with the Lariat and up. A rearview camera system is standard. The XLT adds forward collision mitigation. The Lariat upgrades the camera system with a 360-degree camera and adds blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning and rear automatic braking. The King Ranch adds a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, lane departure mitigation, lane keeping and a forward collision mitigation system that functions at higher speeds.
